SproutPilot

A microgreens growing companion for planning, tracking and harvesting every tray.

Status: In development
SproutPilot home screen with the date, a Plant a tray button, a growing-day summary, today's care list and a ready-to-harvest panel, beside a green sidebar with Home, My grows, Plant, Supplies, Settings and Help.

Home, where today's care and upcoming harvests come together.

Overview

Microgreens are fast. A tray can go from seed to harvest in a week or two, which means a small grower is always juggling soaking, sowing, blackout, watering and harvest across many trays at once, usually with notes on paper or in a spreadsheet.

SproutPilot was built to make that easier. It knows the crops, remembers what you planted and when, tells you what needs attention today, and keeps track of what each tray actually cost. Everything is stored on your own device, and it keeps working without an internet connection.

What it does today

Features

  • Crop and variety library

99 plant profiles and 367 variety entries, each clearly labeled with where its growing guidance comes from, plus licensed photographs.

  • Guided planting

A six-step planting flow that scales seed amounts to the tray size, supports batches of trays and works out dates forward or backward.

  • Daily care and reminders

A home screen that separates overdue care, today's tasks and the week ahead, with watering, notes, photos and the full history of each tray.

  • Harvests and yields

Record multiple cuts per tray, track yields and keep estimated harvest dates separate from what the grower has actually confirmed.

  • Seed and supply inventory

Seed purchase batches, a reconciled inventory ledger and supply tracking, so you know what you have and what each tray actually used.

  • Costs and analytics

Itemized per-tray costs from real purchases, equipment and electricity estimates, harvest analytics and CSV export.

  • Calendar, recipes and succession

Month and agenda calendar views, versioned growing recipes and repeating succession plans.

  • Private and offline

Data stays on the device. No account, subscription, tracking script or paid service. Full backup and restore with integrity checks.

Development

Current status

Status: In development

In active development, currently focused on release hardening and testing on physical phones and tablets. Not yet publicly available.

Built with

  • React
  • TypeScript
  • IndexedDB
  • Offline web app

Planned next

  • Completing hands-on testing on physical phones and installed app mode
  • Advanced commercial-grower workflows

Good to know

  • Some crops and varieties still require the grower to enter growing stages; SproutPilot does not guess when guidance is missing.
