Author & Independent Software Developer

Building worlds.
Creating possibilities.

I write mysteries and science fiction, make coloring books for kids, and build independent software, from search-and-rescue tools to a classroom anatomy lab. One person, a lot of curiosity, and projects that each start with a question worth answering.

01 Stories

Stories for curious readers, from small-town mysteries to near-future thrillers.

Two fiction series and a growing shelf of coloring adventures. Each has its own mood and its own readers.

Middle school mystery · Ages 9–12

The Rattlecross Files

Every town has a secret. Rattlecross has hundreds.

A planned seven-book series of supernatural mysteries for middle school readers, set in an ordinary town with a habit of leaving things unfinished. And unfinished things don't stay quiet.

5 books · 7 planned

  • Cover of The Bus That Never Stopped: a yellow school bus with its lights on, driving down a rain-wet autumn street lined with houses at dusk.
  • Cover of The Student Who Was Never There: an empty classroom desk and chair in warm light, with a stack of books and an old typewriter.
  • Cover of The Path That Shouldn't Exist: an old iron gate standing open in the woods onto a trail covered in golden autumn leaves.
  • Cover of The Grave Without a Name: a blank white marble headstone in a snowy cemetery at twilight.
Cover of The Warnings We Ignored: a row of dark townhouses at night under a cold sky, with only a few windows lit.

Science fiction · AI thriller

The Surrender Protocol

A five-book techno-thriller about automated systems, the people who trust them, and what happens when everything reports normal and nothing is.

03 About

I like making things. Sometimes they're stories. Sometimes they're software.

I'm an author and independent software developer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and a U.S. Air Force veteran. My interests run wide: search and rescue, drones, artificial intelligence, education, photography and the outdoors. They tend to find their way into whatever I'm building next.

Stories and software have more in common than they seem. Both start with curiosity, both take patience, and both reward the habit of asking what's really going on.

More about me

Pick a place to start.

Meet the kids of Rattlecross, ride a secret Christmas train, or look inside the software. If something sparks a question, I'd be glad to hear from you.
